Overview

Overview

This was more than a website update—it was a full-scale reinvention. We rebuilt Marvel.com from the ground up, developing a unified design system that could stretch across platforms, product lines, and fandoms. The redesign brought clarity, energy, and cohesion to a brand known for complexity, and helped set a new standard for digital storytelling in entertainment.

The Creative Undertaking

The challenge was enormous: reimagine Marvel’s entire digital presence while respecting decades of visual legacy. We created a new design guide to unify their products and worked hand-in-hand with multiple internal teams to align the work across marketing, publishing, and licensing.

Every detail had to go through rigorous rounds of feedback. From typography and iconography to layout and responsiveness, the site needed to feel cinematic, modern, and unmistakably Marvel—on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Designing for a Global Audience

Marvel’s fanbase is massive and diverse. We focused on accessibility, modular design, and content hierarchy that would scale across markets and languages. The new experience prioritized clarity and immersion, with bold visuals and intuitive interactions.

The redesign was met with high praise internally and externally—users loved the new look and feel, while internal teams finally had a flexible system that could evolve with the brand.
